Our long standing engineering consulting firm is actively seeking an Entry-Mid Level AutoCAD Operator to work in our Hagerstown, MD office. Job Duties and Responsibilities (under general supervision):
Preparing MEP drawings under the direction of Project Lead Designer(s).
Creating sketches & fabrication drawings, documenting As-builts.
Assist in producing accurate drawing index logs, valve list, equipment lists and the like.
Interpreting Architectural, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical drawings and/or collaborating with field construction.
Assist all Project Leads with printing and plotting of drawing sheets and spool Drawings.
Able to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime during afternoons or evenings as needed.
Other responsibilities as requested by Design Supervisor.
Qualifications:
AutoCAD experience – Entry-level proficiency
Must have great attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Use of sound judgment and problem-solving ability to assist in design processes
Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment
Assertive and resourceful; motivated; willing to ask questions
Strong work ethic; diplomatic; team- and service-oriented
Consistently demonstrates professional demeanor, appearance and attitude
Required experience:
AutoCAD: 1 year OR recently completed an Associate’s Degree or Certification program primarily focused on Computer Aided Design
Preferred:
Experience interpreting and utilizing field survey data/ design plans/ as-builts for the purpose of compiling detailed engineering documents.
Prior experience in construction industry and understanding of construction documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other common computer software.
